So this is the top reason why Reels are super cool for growth. Unlike posts that have a very short 1-2 day shelf life or stories that can be seen for 24 hours, Reels can continue to circulate for days, weeks and months after you initially post them. I’ve noticed that when I post a Reel, it will get its initial views and go quiet then, randomly IG will choose to circulate it again and my account benefits a second time. I’ve had videos circulate numerous times and I benefit each time from it.

Reels are the #1 way right now for small accounts to be discovered by a new audience. Accounts of all sizes..cough cough…under 10k followers can get 1M+ views on a piece of content they create. That’s unreal! 

3. HIGH YIELD OF NEW FOLLOWERS

Since your videos have the chance to be seen thousands of times, they convert into a lot of new followers. All it takes is one video doing well (I’ve noticed a big impact with videos that get 5k views or more) and you’ll notice a big increase in follows and engagement. Get one video to go over 10k and you’ll get hundreds of new followers from it

4. THEY ARE ALL ABOUT MAKING INSIGHTS

The videos that do the best are the ones that can make an insight with your target market. You want to create that “Ah ha!” moment that makes them say “yes, me too!” “I feel so seen!” People are addicted to that feeling, especially when it’s funny 

5. FOLLOWING TRENDS IS ENCOURAGED

Unlike other types of content creation, Reels and TikToks are all about copying trends. Morph them into something that makes sense for you though. People love seeing a creative twist on a trend that is circulating. And you’ll get rewarded for using a trending sound
